*I have collaborated with Fiona Zecca for the past 30+ years.  Her work with children and parents is unfailingly thoughtful, empathic and insightful.  Fiona understands the heart of a child and the hopes and dreams of parents.  Her play based approach strikes a perfect balance between stretching the child and creating a trusting alliance.  The San Francisco Bay area will miss her deeply!  The Los Angeles community is so lucky to have her.

*We feel indebted to you and to this space for how much growth, learning, and support both Charlie and we have gained over the past year and a half. We wouldn't be where we are without you, in more ways than one. I'd like to think that you two are now a permanent part of "Team Charlie". It has been a source of great comfort knowing we could (and hopefully still can) come to you both for consultations, insight, or support in navigating the path forward for Charlie.

With lots of love and gratitude! We will miss you guys so much!

I’ve reflected so much on the difference I see in Robert since this same time last year. I wondered if it was just me but then we had our first teacher conference and his teacher seemed to be talking about the same Robert I know! This is a first. She said he is cheerful, eager to participate and excelling in both his work and interactions with classmates. She said he is one of her "best breathers" and knows how to keep his cool. And when I pick him up every day, he just seems really happy and shares more about his day than he did in the past.

So thank you again for helping him continue to grow and progress as we move ahead. I'd love to stay in touch and will reach back if we hit any roadblocks and need to reconnect to your incredible wisdom and counsel.

*The founders of the Sensory Social Playgroups (SSP), Fiona and Cassie, are masters in their art. Children and families are supported and learn skills to enhance social communication while engaged in small, individualized peer groups. Families receive frequent feedback about their child’s progress. When I am seeking a social group for children in San Francisco, Cassie and Fiona’s groups are top of my list. I only wish they could clone themselves and offer their services to all!

*Sensory Social Playgroups is always my first referral for parents whose young children are struggling with social skills and/or sensory issues. Fiona and Cassie are at the top of their field. They teach kids new tools in a fun, caring environment. Parents are kept informed so they can reinforce the skills at home. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

*Sensory Social Playgroup is an amazing resource for families in San Francisco. Cassie and Fiona do a great job helping children navigate their social world, while being mindful of their sensory needs. The parent education component offers so many strategies for families at home. When I recommend Sensory Social Playgroup to families I am always confident that they will be in caring, thoughtful hands.

*I think of you both often and with the greatest gratitude possible! You were a gift in our lives. Not just for Carson but our whole family. I truly feel you saved him and brought him back to himself at such a pivotal moment. He is a wonderful, social, loving person and all the skills he learned with you all still serve him well! He is currently a sophomore at UCLA and majoring in computer science. He is a world traveler and great friend to many! We are so incredibly proud of the person he is.

*Maya was very shy and while though a happy kid, she was always aloof in social situations even when some of her classmates would come to our house for a playdate. Often times, we'd watch her at birthday parties clinging on to us as she wasn't comfortable socializing with the rest of her friends.

It's been amazing to watch her transform over the past year. She places her own order at restaurants, is much more comfortable at social events as she has started to gain her social confidence. We owe this transformation to the work of Fiona and Cassie, who have been instrumental in developing Maya's social skills. Best investment we ever made.
